As a Health & Safety Officer at Ferrero, you will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining a safe, compliant and high-performing manufacturing environment. Acting as a trusted advisor across the production plant, you will partner with operational leaders to prevent incidents, reduce risk and embed a proactive safety culture aligned with Regional and Group standards.

You will support the identification, monitoring and mitigation of health and safety risks, lead investigations where required, and ensure policies, procedures and documentation remain robust, current and fully compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.

At Ferrero, safety is not just a compliance requirement — it is fundamental to how we operate and protect our people. As a Health & Safety Officer, you will play a visible and influential role in shaping and strengthening our safety culture across the manufacturing site. Partnering closely with production, engineering and leadership teams, you will proactively identify, assess and mitigate risks, ensuring robust processes are embedded to prevent incidents and drive continuous improvement. You will maintain and enhance Health & Safety policies, procedures and documentation in line with legal, Regional and Group standards, support audits and inspections, and lead thorough investigations to determine true root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions. Through accurate reporting, stakeholder engagement and alignment to the Regional H&S strategic plan, you will help ensure the site remains compliant, resilient and aligned to Ferrero’s broader Group ambitions.

Finally, this role involves working to support all stakeholders to maintain full compliance with regulatory and region requirements, including preparation and filing of required documentation and raising PO’s in SAP when required.

You bring a Degree or Higher Diploma (Level 7 or 8) in Health & Safety, or an equivalent professional qualification and/or relevant experience that demonstrates strong technical competence in this field. Chartered IOSH status is desirable, and we also welcome candidates who are actively working towards professional accreditation. Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment would be advantageous; however, we recognise that transferable experience from other regulated or operational environments may also be valuable.

You adopt a proactive and practical approach, and you are comfortable engaging with teams across site to embed safe ways of working. You communicate clearly and respectfully, influencing stakeholders at all levels while fostering a collaborative and supportive safety culture. You are confident analysing data, identifying trends and translating insight into meaningful action, and you are motivated by helping others take ownership of health and safety. Above all, you are committed to creating an environment where safety is inclusive, embedded in everyday behaviours, and continuously improving.
