For our Global Headquarters, we are looking for an Engineering Manager Europe, who will lead the development, industrialization, and automation of toy projects across European production sites, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with Ferrero’s global standards.

Thanks to your strong background in industrial or product engineering, you will oversee the development and industrialization of toy projects across Europe, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with Ferrero’s standards. Working closely with your engineering team in Alba (Italy) and external toy partners, you will monitor every stage of the development process, from feasibility and tooling to production start-up, while maintaining efficiency, cost control, and product integrity. Your coordination with internal functions such as Planning, Procurement, and Quality will help ensure smooth communication, clear reporting, and continuous progress across all ongoing projects.

You will guide your team in implementing engineering and process improvements, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous optimization. By monitoring injection moulding capacity and supporting project start-ups, you will help guarantee the right resources are available for each production phase. Your technical oversight will also include contributing to engineering change requests and supporting the implementation of best manufacturing practices to maintain high standards of performance and quality at every site.

In collaboration with the Ferrero Technical Services team, you will drive automation initiatives within the European production network, from light automation to breakthrough innovations that enhance efficiency, quality, and cost management. You will ensure process governance and compliance with established procedures, maintaining up-to-date documentation in tools such as SAP PLM. Regular travel to partners and production facilities in Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, and Moldova will be part of your role, allowing you to strengthen relationships with mould makers, monitor operations firsthand, and support local teams in achieving industrial excellence.

Thanks to your strong background in engineering and industrial project management, you bring a solid understanding of plastic injection processes and tooling construction, ideally gained through experience in the automotive or appliances industry. With around 6-8 years of experience, you are comfortable leading complex projects from design to mass production, ensuring high-quality standards and efficiency across all stages. Your familiarity with industrial automation technologies, such as light automation, pad printing, or sonic welding, will help you identify and implement process improvements while building clear, achievable roadmaps to enhance productivity.

You will apply your knowledge of mold design and layout (including parting lines, gating systems, and hot runner configurations) to optimize production performance and support the development of new products designed for manufacturability. Your ability to analyze root causes and manage quality in a mass production environment will contribute to continuous improvement and reliable delivery. Experience with lean or six sigma methodologies will further support your structured approach to problem-solving and process optimization.

You combine strong technical expertise with excellent people and communication skills, fostering collaboration across teams and departments. You know how to motivate your team, build trust, and maintain open communication to achieve shared goals. You are fluent in English, which is essential for this role, and knowledge of Italian is an asset, as you will regularly interact with Italian suppliers and partners. Your adaptability and time management enable you to navigate changing priorities while maintaining focus on results. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is part of your daily routine, and familiarity with AutoCAD, 3D modeling software, or SAP PLM is considered an advantage that will support your success in this role.
