As Senior Brand Manager, Legacy Biscuits & Bakery you will take the lead in driving a complex and dynamic business. You will shape short-term innovation launches and contribute to building a compelling long-term vision for your brands. In this role, you will be at the heart of strategic conversations, collaborating closely with local cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to influence key workstreams.

You will define brand growth strategies and lead initiatives such as competitive category and channel analysis, consumer research, brand campaigns, and shopper marketing programs. Your work will support both established and emerging brands, positioning them for success in the market.

In addition to high-profile projects, you will manage day-to-day business operations to ensure alignment with broader business objectives. Success in this role means you will drive topline sales, grow market share, and build brand equity and household penetration.

This role reports to the Director, Legacy Biscuits & Bakery NAM, and will be responsible for coaching and managing a direct report. This role is hybrid, and will be based out of our North American HQ in Parsippany, NJ.

Brand Planning, VMS and Equity Development

  • Define and develop objectives, goals, strategies, and measurements for the brand to meet/exceed volume, and profit targets
  • Facilitate winning share vs. category and competition
  • Work closely with Trade Marketing and Category Management to develop compelling sell-in stories and toolkits to ensure customer acceptance of innovation
  • Achieve ambitious KPIs driving long-term growth, including penetration, awareness, consideration, preference, and loyalty

Communication Planning & Execution

  • Lead annual IAT briefings and work together with internal & external Media partners to shape full-year plans
  • Lead agencies in year-round and tentpole program execution
  • Interface regularly with creative, media, PR/social/influencer, shopper and e-commerce agency partners to ensure successful executions both short- and long-term

Range & Merchandising Development

  • Identify portfolio gaps in consumer and trade vehicles, working with global and cross-functional teams to address and commercialize profitably.

Forecast Management

  • Influence demand/consensus planning processes locally and globally, managing complex inventory management dilemmas and prioritizing customer delivery timing and freshness
  • Shape long-term volume plans to guide capacity planning & growth

Media & Promotions

  • Recommend and implement integrated communication plans including media, promotional, and PR touchpoints.

Budget Management

  • Allocate and manage marketing spending; supervise direct report in day-to-day management and process

People Development

  • Management, coaching and development of direct report, including the setting of objectives, comprehensive workplan, and development plan 
  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred in business/economics/marketing
  • 7+ years of successful experience in FMCG brand management or related roles (trade marketing, category management, etc) 
  • Strong analytical skills upon which to base decision-making, with experience in translating data (IRI, other syndicated databases) into insights and actions
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects within scheduled timelines 
  • Solid project management skills from planning stage to execution and final assessment to achieve brand objectives and goals  
  • Strong knowledge and facility managing cross-functional interdependencies, with the ability to influence the internal and Global network to drive results
  • Well-versed in Budget Management, with experience navigating and influencing P&Ls
  • Well-versed in Forecasting 
  • Passion, energy and drive to work with world-class brands 
  • Motivation to advance in a merit-based, multinational organization 
  • Must be self-motivated and exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit 
  • Structured and organized in managing projects and timelines 
  • Team player able to effectively interact and work with various functional departments 
  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook; SAP knowledge a plus 
  • Passionate about driving the development and growth of a direct report.

The base salary range for this position is $140,523 - $187,364 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
