Packaging Quality Auditor
We have a current opening for a Packaging Quality Auditor and are actively reviewing applications.
We are seeking an experienced Packaging Quality Auditor to join our North American Packaging Quality team in Chicago. Reporting to the Head of Quality Packaging North America, you will be responsible for ensuring packaging quality, supplier compliance, and the successful launch of packaging changes and projects across the region.
- Oversee packaging quality activities and guarantee compliance with suppliers.
- Manage technical auditing tasks and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with North American specification changes.
- Review and assess the quality of new packaging materials and suppliers.
- Provide technical support throughout packaging development and implementation.
- Champion knowledge-sharing across teams and promote best practices within Ferrero.
- Drive visibility and recognition for packaging contributions across the Area.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field (e.g., Chemical Engineering).
Industry Experience: 5-10 years in the packaging industry, with direct expertise in North American packaging regulations (FDA & CFIA).
Standards & Compliance: Strong knowledge of GFSI-approved standards (FSSC, BRC-GS, SQF) and preferred certifications such as HACCP and PCQI.
Auditing: Proven experience leading second-party audits, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of packaging processes, production, development, and information systems.
Environmental & Safety: Familiarity with international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and local safety/environmental regulations.
Collaboration: Experience liaising with local and global packaging functions to support new projects, innovations, and sustainability initiatives.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proactive, strategic mindset with capacity to deliver results under minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in English (verbal and written).
- Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate across diverse cultures and functions.
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel to auditing sites withing North America and Canada.

The base salary range for this position is $ $94,896 - 126,528 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
