Industrial Training Development Specialist
We have a current opening for a Industrial Training Development Specialist and are actively reviewing applications.
The Industrial Training Development Specialist designs, implements, and oversees employee training programs to boost skills and performance, involving needs assessment, curriculum development, budget management, and evaluating program effectiveness, often collaborating with HR and department heads to align learning with company goals for onboarding, leadership, and ongoing development.
- Needs Assessment: Identify skill gaps and future training needs through performance evaluations and stakeholder consultation.
- Program Development: Create and update training materials, curriculum, and methods (e.g., e-learning, workshops) for various needs like new hires (onboarding), on the job qualifications and leadership.
- Implementation & Logistics: Coordinate training sessions, manage budgets, secure resources, and work with internal trainers or external vendors.
- Evaluation: Measure training impact on performance, productivity, and business goals using feedback and data.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure training supports overall organizational goals, employee career development, and changes like technology or mergers.
You will be responsible for leading the training function, developing training strategies and implementing programs to meet our employees’ learning needs. You will play a pivotal role in building a culture of continuous learning and improvement .
The ideal candidate is a strategic leader passionate about designing and implementing effective training programs. They are experienced in training management, talent development and organizational learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Human Resources or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a training manager or in a similar role in corporate training, with a demonstrable track record of designing and implementing training programs.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
- Project management skills for managing training initiatives and timelines.
- Ability to assess training needs and develop training plans in the company.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on achieving organizational goals through effective training and development initiatives.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other training technology platforms.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Advanced degree in Training and Development, Organizational Psychology or similar.
- Certification in training and development (e.g. CPTD, CPLP, ATD Master Trainer).
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of competency-based training and performance management.
- Multilingual proficiency for managing training programs in diverse employee populations.
- Ability to manage the budget for training activities.
- Working knowledge of project management principles.
