About the Role:

We are a confectionery company founded 20+ years. Our Plant has been in operation for 16 years based in Walkerville. We are looking for a highly skilled person able to work in a fast-growing environment in an organised, intelligent way. Most importantly, we are looking for a person who is enthusiastic to be part of the Walkerville Plant team. The purpose of the role is to provide day to day human resource administrative support and contribute to the long-term development of the HR function.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support HR Manager in creating a conducive business environment to ensure business objectives are met by ensuring sound employee relationships, a high level of productivity, a low absenteeism rate, low labor turnover and reduction of abuse of sick leave benefits.
  • Support the HR Manager in ensuring planning for the ongoing personnel needs in coordination with the various Departments (recruitment and selection)
  • SAP - Monthly upload of salaried employee data (engagements, terminations, promotions, changes, absenteeism, injury stats, etc.);
  • Support in ensuring that C&B policies and practices are in line with Group and local policies and practices.
  • Ensure accurate and timeous employee payroll administration in liaison with external payroll services provider.
  • Workforce planning, management review, monthly headcount reports, and updating of the organizational charts.
  • Support HR Manager by guarantee planning of human resources (head count, recruitment etc.) in accordance with defined timelines based on organizational timetables.

Who we are looking for:

  • National Diploma / Degree in Human Resource Management
  • 2- 3 Years in HR, FMCG environment   
  • Knowledge of different HR Disciplines
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • SAP/SAGE experience would be advantageous.
  • HR Administration and Payroll
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Competency based profiling, screening, and interview techniques.
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
