About the Role:

As the Maintenance Manager, you will be the visionary leader steering the course of maintenance excellence. Your primary mission involves overseeing and orchestrating maintenance activities to ensure seamless execution and elevate the plant's performance to unprecedented heights. You will craft plans that align renewal, adequacy, and substitution investments with the intricate needs of both production and the overall Plant.

Your role is pivotal in driving efficiency, reliability, and innovation, making you the catalyst for a culture of continuous improvement. If you are ready to take the helm, shape the future of maintenance, and propel our operations to new peaks, this role is your gateway to an exciting journey at the forefront of excellence at our Halstead site.

Main Responsibilities:

As the Maintenance Manager, your responsibilities span several critical areas. You will oversee budget proposals, collaborating with the business and monitoring expenses, ensuring accuracy and justifying any deviations. Additionally, you'll support modifications to maintenance policies, analyse outcomes, and ensure the timely updating of handbooks and work instructions.

Your role also involves participating in the planning of new machinery, ensuring compliance during assembly, and facilitating technical information transmission to relevant departments. Moreover, you'll manage the procurement of materials, machinery, and services for the Halstead Plant.

In intervention planning, you'll contribute to mid-term needs detection and resource availability assessments. Collaborating with Plant Management, you'll prioritise interventions and maintain adherence to maintenance best practices, while also overseeing preventive maintenance initiatives.

Your contributions to continuous improvement involve identifying and implementing enhancements at both system and equipment levels. Furthermore, you'll oversee spare parts management, ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and manage technical KPIs and analyses, fostering standardised maintenance practices.

Your involvement in training includes defining and implementing plans for maintenance resources and supporting specific training programs. In new projects, you'll assist in analysing change requests, collaborate during the design phase for equipment optimisation, and oversee accurate reporting for machinery changes.

Furthermore, you'll manage suppliers, from defining technical specifications to evaluating their adherence to quality standards. Additionally, your role encompasses human resources management, including participating in personnel selection, evaluation, and authorisation of absences for Maintenance team members.

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate should be an experienced engineer with a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, preferably having held a supervisory role in Engineering Maintenance within an automated manufacturing setting, particularly in food production.

Essential skills include expertise in maintenance best practices, budget management and various maintenance experience and methodologies.

Demonstrating a strong track record in the food industry, you will possess excellent communication skills, and exhibit adaptability to changing maintenance needs.

You will be passionate about leadership, team development, and driving high standards, collaborating effectively across departments to integrate engineering within the broader business context.

You prioritise quality and safety in every facet of your work, ensuring compliance with standards and fostering a culture of safety excellence.

How to be successful in the role and at Ferrero:

At Ferrero, our dedication and focus on consumers, quality, and care drives everything we do.  As a member of our team, your commitment to placing consumers at the forefront of your work is paramount. Your skills and aspirations will be cherished and nurtured, and your contributions will make a lasting impact.  Together, we will continue to push boundaries, innovate, and raise the bar in the confectionary industry.

Join us on this rewarding journey, where the satisfaction of our consumers and the pride in our craftsmanship fuel our success.
