The Director, Shopper Insights will lead and elevate the shopper insights practice for Ferrero North America, delivering best-in-class insights across multiple categories, channels, and retailers. This role will shape how we understand the “why” behind shopper behaviors and translate those learnings into strategic, actionable recommendations that drive growth.

Reporting to the Vice President, Consumer & Shopper Understanding (CSU) for North America, the Director will initially manage one direct report, with planned team expansion over time.

  • Lead and grow the Shopper Insights team, establishing foundational practices and scalable capabilities.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning plan, including objectives, methodologies, and supplier management.
  • Uncover shopper motivations through qualitative and quantitative research and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Category Management, and CSU leadership to drive insight-based initiatives.
  • Build customized insight solutions for key retailers while creating scalable approaches for broader customer needs.
  • Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and retail partners to influence decision-making.
  • Provide thought leadership on shopper journeys, category growth, trends, and the demand landscape.
  • Identify cross-category and cross-customer opportunities through POS, panel, and trend analysis.
  • Define and track key Shopper Insights KPIs and foster a strong test-and-learn culture.
  • Ensure consistency, excellence, and rigor across all Shopper Insights deliverables and processes.
  • 12+ years of experience in consumer insights, with significant experience in Shopper Insights or Category Management.
  • Proven success leading a Shopper Insights team in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in CPG/Food strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-impact, high-visibility projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Strong proficiency across qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

The base salary range for this position is $185,000 - $230,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
