MANDATORY 5 CRITERIA FOR THE VIE PROGRAM:

  1. Age: You’re eligible if you are at least 18 years old and under 28 at the time of your application. In all cases, your departure must take place before your 29th birthday.
  2. Nationality: Although the program is “made in France,” the V.I.E is not limited to French nationals. Good news: all young people who hold the nationality of a country within the European Economic Area (EEA) can apply! Reminder: the EEA includes EU countries as well as Monaco, Liechtenstein, Iceland, and Norway. 
  3. National Service:
    • If you are of French nationality or hold dual nationality including French, you must be in compliance with national service obligations.
    •  For French citizens under 25, this means providing your defense identification number, which confirms you have been registered and have participated in the “Journée Défense et Citoyenneté” (Defense and Citizenship Day).
    • If you are over 25, you do not need to provide this number.
    • If you are a citizen of an EEA country, you must be in good standing with the national service obligations of your country of origin.
  4. Criminal Record: To be eligible for the V.I.E program, your criminal record (bulletin no. 2) must not contain any entries that are incompatible with the mission.
  5. Medical Fitness: You must be declared medically fit to carry out the mission. A medical certificate will be required to confirm this. 

Important: If you have already completed a V.I.E or V.I.A mission, you cannot apply again.

Budgeting and forecasting

You will actively participate in budgeting and forecasting in close collaboration with the local departments. Further, you will support the Financial Reporting, Controlling Manager and local team in Advertising and Promotions, Selling and Administrative analysis. Other aspects are the preparation of the Brand Profitability, Cash Flow and routine analyses on financial statements or financial information (sensitivity analysis, performance analysis, variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, effect analysis, etc.).

Actual and month-end closing

You will support the preparation of the monthly overheads and A&P Closing, recommend expenditure requests for designated accounts, prepare provisions, and monitor mirroring accounting and controlling modules. Also, you will work on preparation and presentation with the Controlling Manager of the monthly closing to help the company understand trends and make decisions. Additionally, you will prepare the DCF deck analysis and suggest improvements to the local team.

Annual reconciliation of commercial agreements

To provide administrative support to the all the departments, you will analyze and review annual supplier agreements with the different vendors and ensure that agreements/ Purchase Orders and Invoices are properly reported in the books. You will collaborate in the preparation of the quarterly Supplier reconciliation along Finance department.

Database management

To ensure database management and data integrity in reporting systems, you will work with several databases and tools, such as Oracle Essbase, Cloud, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, SCOP.

We are looking for a candidate, eligible for a VIE contract, with a Master’s degree in Economics / Business / Controlling with a first experience (internship, apprenticeship) in a management control department. Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and database management is appreciated. A previous experience in the FMCG or distribution sector is considered a plus. The position requires strong organizational and analytical skills as well as a results-oriented mindset with a good balance between pragmatism and attention to detail.

To ensure efficient collaboration with key stakeholder good communication skills are key.

Advanced Excel skills are essential, as well as proficiency in English and French.
