We are looking for a National Account Manager to take ownership of key customer relationships across assigned channels, working closely with National Account Executives to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

In this role, you will lead the development and negotiation of joint business plans, shape sales strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable growth.

You will play a central role in aligning customer priorities with wider business objectives, ensuring both commercial success and long-term partnerships.

As the National Account Manager – Discounters, you will be responsible for developing and delivering strategic business plans that align with commercial policies and account priorities across multiple channels and formats.

The role involves achieving sales, revenue, and profit targets while maintaining full accountability for profit and loss, including budgeting, trade terms, and promotional investment. You will act as the primary contact for key accounts, building strong and lasting relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders such as buyers and category managers.

You will lead the negotiation and execution of joint business plans that create mutual value and support long-term growth. Planning and delivering effective promotional strategies will be key to enhancing product visibility and driving sales performance. You will also be expected to forecast accurately, monitor account performance, and provide timely insights to inform business decisions.

Collaboration is central to this role, and you will work closely with teams across trade marketing, finance, supply, sales, and other functions to ensure alignment and address challenges. Staying informed about market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour will enable you to identify opportunities and adapt strategies in a fast-moving environment.

We are seeking someone with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. You bring excellent numerical and verbal reasoning skills, along with confidence in using tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting. You are motivated, adaptable, and results-focused, with a collaborative approach and the ability to build credibility across teams.

Experience in managing joint business plans, profit and loss, and delivering growth strategies for key accounts will set you up for success in this role. A background in FMCG and experience working with discounters would be highly beneficial. Leadership or team management experience is also valued, as is an interest in international markets and cultural awareness.
