Supply Planner

The Supply Planner is responsible for responding to demand and supply changes in a timely and accurate manner. They ensure appropriate safety stock levels are maintained that ensure case fill and freshness targets are met at market and DC level. They work closely with demand planning, customer service, sales forecasting, marketing to ensure customer requirements for product are met. They measure and monitor SC performance KPIs, minimizing destructions and close outs. The Supply Planner is responsible for managing a low/medium complexity portfolio (defined by % of gross sales and complexity of the brand) in collaboration with their Manager.
This position also has as a main objective to optimize the management of the distribution of finished goods to maximize case fill and freshness on customer orders and satisfy co-packing requirements while minimizing transportation and warehousing costs.
Supply Availability:
• Lead weekly consensus meeting
• Provides perspective on Supply implications of the forecast changes
• Identify critical issues that arise in the consensus meeting that are linked to the freshness and fill rate
- Review latest criticality report distributed to the business
• Develop and agree on action plan of the critical issues
• Discuss upcoming promotion and launches and transitions plans (phase in/phase out incl. disco items)
• packaging availability /liability
Production Plan:
• Review production proposal and provide feedback if the production requires adjustment ensuring that coverage (days of supply) is on target.
• Liaise with Area operating planning in production updates and related issues
• Generate production requests (Short term and long term) based on latest Operative plan, demand insight, ensuring target days of supply.
• Generate and distribute weekly stock coverage/ availability reports to the different stakeholders
• Manage frozen forecast production for promo and seasonal item that happen on time and in full
• Work with plants and quality in order to manage frozen production.
Re-packing sites:
• Work on priorities with the different repack sites
• Manage bulk availability and coverage
• Manage production requests
• Definition of the production plan for the third parties copacker site
Strategic development:
• Analyze past years statistical data in order to set parameters for next fiscal
• Validate/Update Monthly Operating Targets determined by management
• Seasonal retro planning to insure CRAD
• Develop bulk disaggregation according the BOM to ensure business totals are correct
• Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and report for a specific brand vs set targets, such as Case Fill Rates and Shorted Rates, Freshness, Stock Coverage, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience working as Production, Demand or Supply Planner in similar business for 1-3 years and/or in complex environments (import, export, multiple repacking sites and multiple plants and DC’s network)
• Knowledge of import/export and overseas challenges (lead times/customs/ transportation requirements etc)
• Knowledge of repacking and co-packing processes – management multiple repacking sites
• Experience in CPG industry
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Advanced knowledge of SAP / APO systems or similar.
• Knowledge of and experience working with project management principles and tools (preferred but not required)
The base salary range for this position is $74,000- $99,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
