Intercompany AP/AR Manager
For our Global Headquarters in Luxembourg, we are looking for Intercompany AP/AR Manager to join our Finance team.
You will oversee monthly and year-end intercompany closings for AP and AR, including reconciliations, discrepancy resolution, and root-cause analysis in line with Group standards and internal controls. You will actively monitor intercompany balances, reduce aged items, and strengthen intercompany governance and efficiency.
You will act as the main point of contact for intercompany AP and AR matters, coordinating with internal stakeholders (local finance, controlling, treasury, tax, IT) and supervising BPO providers to ensure SLA adherence and timely issue resolution.
You will own and continuously improve intercompany AP and AR processes, policies, and documentation; support internal and external audits; and contribute to Group and local initiatives, including system and ERP projects such as S/4HANA.
The role requires strong process oriented thinking and a high level of comfort with IT dependent, integrated workflows, ensuring that data, approvals, and postings are consistently aligned across systems. You will actively support the optimization of SAP ERP / S/4HANA end to end processes, contributing to the enhancement of automation, master data quality, system controls, and integration between entities and new intercompany transactions.
You will manage a team of 4 people responsible for end-to-end Intercompany Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of intercompany transactions across entities. The role combines people leadership, operational oversight, and full ownership of delivery quality, deadlines, and continuous improvement.
As a people manager, you will lead, coach, and develop your team, ensuring clear responsibilities, effective workload management, and appropriate training and backup. You will foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and proactivity while ensuring operational continuity.
You bring a university degree in Finance or Accounting and at least 6-8 years of relevant experience with 2-3 years of experience in managing people in AP and AR within an international environment. You have a strong understanding of intercompany accounting and internal controls. Fluency in English is essential.
You are a strong people manager and communicator, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, able to deliver accurate results under tight deadlines and drive continuous improvement across teams and stakeholders.
