We are looking for a highly organized and strategic External Warehouse Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team at Hazelnut Company Chile. In this role, you will lead and oversee the integrated logistics operations across our network of external warehouses, collection points, and cleaning and drying facilities. You will be responsible for synchronizing inbound and outbound flows with Planning and Production departments to ensure a seamless supply chain during the high-demand hazelnut harvest season. Acting as a key link between field operations and industrial processing, you will ensure full compliance with inventory, Food Safety (FSQ), and Health & Safety (H&S) standards.

  • Manage and control daily logistics operations at external warehouses and collection points for "inshell" hazelnuts to mitigate operational risks and stock shortages.
  • Directly supervise logistics personnel at cleaning and drying plants to optimize productivity and ensure "First Time Right" data entry.
  • Actively participate in weekly logistics planning to align storage requirements with the company’s supply needs and harvest schedules.
  • Enforce strict adherence to FSQ and H&S policies across all assigned work centers to guarantee product suitability and safe working conditions.
  • Safeguard inventory integrity by implementing rigorous opening/closing protocols, security seal controls, and physical vs. system reconciliations.
  • Consolidate and report weekly logistics KPIs, including occupancy levels, warehouse performance, and inventory accuracy, through management dashboards.
  • Scale critical operational deviations and implement immediate action plans to resolve inventory discrepancies or quality risks

Educational background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field

Professional experience:

  • Logistics Management: Proven experience in warehouse operations and supply chain planning, ideally within the agricultural or food industry.
  • External Provider Oversight: Strong track record managing external warehouse suppliers and coordinating geographically dispersed centers.
  • Handling Services: Demonstrated ability to coordinate handling services, auxiliary crews, and third-party operational providers.
  • Inventory Control: Expertise in stock reconciliation (physical vs. system) and "First Time Right" (FTR) data management.
  • Operational Supervision: Experience directing personnel, defining shifts, and monitoring KPIs for both permanent and seasonal staff.
  • Compliance & Safety: Familiarity with Food Safety (FSQ) and Health & Safety (H&S) standards in an industrial environment.
  • Systems: Proficiency inERP systems, with SAP experience highly valued for inbound/outbound flow control.

Interpersonal skills:

  • Proven experience in logistics planning, warehouse management, or supply chain operations, preferably within the agricultural or food industry.
  • Strong experience in managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers and coordinating geographically dispersed teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in inventory control procedures and "First Time Right" (FTR) data management.
  • Familiarity with Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) standards and Health & Safety (H&S) regulations in an industrial context.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems, experience with SAP is highly desirable but not mandatory.

IT skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Previous experience with SAP

Languages:

  • English B2 equivalent
