We have a new opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join the premium chocolate category. In this role you will achieve defined targets related to Profit and Loss, market share and competitive position, for Thorntons Premium Chocolate. You will also support the Region Marketing Manager Premium Chocolates UK&I (RMMC) in the definition of positioning and detailed strategies for Thorntons Premium Chocolate, developing and implementing ideas, projects, and other required actions, by monitoring and managing costs (e.g., advertising, promo, research spend).
As the Marketing Manager Thornton's you will provides information to the Region Marketing Manager Premium Chocolates and to other involved local functions, to define volumes and sales value budget (with required details in term of SKUs and packaging). As a result of your skilled work, you will connect-the-dots from strategy to creative delivery to ensure a launch delivers on its promise, and within budget constraints, manages advertising, promotion, research, and market analyses costs.
Together with the Region Marketing Manager Premium Chocolates, you will manage the process within the business cross functionally for a defined brand portfolio for Thorntons Premium Chocolates range, by challenging and supporting your team to deliver great long-term strategies, to enhance portfolio success.
You will implement the advertising strategies (copy strategy, target segments and consumers, etc.) received from the Region Marketing Manager Premium Chocolates. Developing the advertising creation and briefs and managing creative agencies, and communicating the media plan brief to the media planning responsible; monitoring and controlling the outputs related to brand plans.
Propose and support the promotion strategy definition by supervising material development activities (execution of packaging development and new packaging / labelling projects. You will evaluates with the Region Marketing Manager Premium Chocolates and UK&I and Trade Marketing Manager, the “state of work” for promotions, sponsorships, or co-marketing activities.
You will take part on the sales forecast process, with Sales, Logistics and Trade Marketing departments. Regularly overseeing and monitoring the Profit and Loss single items and global result, to suggest and manage possible countermeasures.
You will participate in the proposal both local and global, implementation and follow up of strategic projects, e.g., studies which deal with strategic issues such as Exploratory subjects, Uses & Habits, Insights, Brand positioning for Thorntons Premium Chocolates. Propose, implement and follow up of operational improvement projects follow-up, e.g., studies which deal with operational issues such as pre and post-test, performance of new packaging, market data monitoring, assortment, pricing, etc.
Lead relationships to help form long term strategic business partners (external), which creates excellence in Ferrero brands’ positioning, communications & other activities. Recommend and influence all internal stakeholders concerning key business strategies, to gain buy-in.
You will deliver mid-term & 1 year profit growth targets for defined brand portfolio (to contribution level) for Thorntons Premium Chocolates range. Leading profitable brand portfolio development for Thorntons Premium Chocolate.
