About the Role:
The Logistics Officer assists in coordinating the flow of inbound stock into the Ferrero Australia Network. This includes document control, master data maintenance, container prioritization and processing of customs brokerage, cartage and transport within the network. Additionally, the Logistics Officer will be assisting with the daily operations of the distributor replenishment model for New Zealand.
The position will support the Logistics Manager and broader Supply Chain team via reporting of Logistics capacity, FEFO Management, Supply Chain KPIs and stock availability for local SKUs as required.
Although the core focus of the role is within Logistics, the Logistics Officer also helps act as a bridge within the Supply Chain team offering support to both Customer Service and Demand Planning via reporting and SKU updates to help support business activities.
This role is a parental leave cover and available until October 2023.
You will be involved in providing updates for stock issues and out of stock SKUs, generating inventory reports, investigating relevant customer complaints and queries, and analysing data to optimize logistic processes.
The role is also responsible for maintaining KPI reports including Daily Capacity Reporting, FEFO Reporting, Stock Availability for the Warehouse Services, and analysing logistics data to improve the logistics flow through the warehouse.
Another important aspect is document and data management. This includes processing product or insurance claims arising from incorrect or damaged shipments, and liaising with regional teams on any issues with documentation. Using SAP, you will need to communicate the proper flow of data to facilitate Purchase Order automatio and process invoices of incoming goods, freight, customs brokerage and duties in line with Ferrero Authorization Matrix.
You will assist with transport management, including managing inbound containers by working with Shipping lines, Trucking Companies, Custom Brokers and D.C. to ensure proper flow of inbound loads, and keep all shipment information up to date in the planning systems.
Who we are looking for:
You will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have some experience in SAP with a background in supply chain. The most important skills are excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a problem solving mindset, and great attitude!
