Warehouse Manager Arlon

Supply Chain Warehouse Manager reports to the Local Supply Chain Industrial Manager.

She / He is responsible for:

-          Finish Product Warehouse Operation: management of internal finish product warehouses in coordination of warehouse shift leaders 3 FTE (N-1) and 19 FTEs (N-2)

-          Raw material Warehouse Operation - management of internal raw material warehouses 2 FTE (N-2)

delivering the expected service level to the key customers, respecting the defined budget and Ferrero standards processes and controls (Quality, GRC,…)


Operational activities

-          Managing the internal warehouses of raw material in coordination with the shift leaders, ensuring the execution of the daily operation. Inbound receipts from external vendors, putaway, handling IN, storage, handling OUT, picking and delivering to internal  production.

-          Managing internal warehouses of finish product in coordination with the shift leaders, ensuring the execution of the daily operation. Inbound flow from the plant, Putaway, handling IN, storage, handling OUT, picking and shipping to external warehouses, other Ferrero subsidiaries and external customers.

-        Coordinate Inventory Count planning, communication and execution, following Ferrero GOS requirements (frequency, methodology and documentation)

-          People management: actively manage the team composition and plan the shifts accordingly to plant requirements. Promote frequently team operative meetings, one to one sessions, Holidays and long-term FTE planning. Ensure people development and training, performing regular follow up meetings, interviews and in compliance with Ferrero Performance Evaluation process, through the formal feedback sessions (October and May).

-          Organizational management: define the best organizations according to the objectives to achieve, in the short and long terms, and manage the complexities associated with the changes.

-          Organizational integration: work integrate actively with other plant functions, participate at the weekly production planning meeting, establish a positive integration with production planning team, with production line responsible, quality department, finance and the other internal department. Participate actively to the internal verification meeting performed at plant level (SIM methodology)

-          Ensure the consistency of activities between services, raise awareness of risks and opportunities of each teams.

Being a reliable and experienced contact point, for all the logistical relationship with internal and external customers and vendors.

Project contribution

-       Alongside with the Supply Chain Development area, actively contribute for improvements and implementations, such as:

  • follow up the roll out of a new raw material warehouse (granella) inside Arlon plant and the related revamping for the existing one for the racking, chilled and allergen segregation.

  • follow up the roll out of a new automatic WH in Arlon plant expected during the period April 21 and January 22

  • follow up the revamping for the old automatic WH in Arlon plant expected during the period February 22 and August 22

  • Participate actively at the SAP EWM project deployment for the new automatic warehouse under construction in the Arlon plant. Ensuring the stock alignment and the follow up of the I-DOC management.     

  • Develop operational performance indicators appropriate for an effective management of stock, flow in & out (KPIs and PPIs). 

Cost management and department long term planning

-          Manage the Warehouse costs (OVHS) and investments (CAPEX), by developing reliable annual budget and biannual budget reviews (SAF1-SAF2), and by drawing on a monthly basis all the reporting and tracking files (KPI cost deviation, benchmark projects run smoothly, contract provider, cost management)

-        Contribute to the SC yearly master plan and at the preparation for the incoming season and the medium-term infrastructure planning.


-         Ensuring 'quality' and 'safety' standards of Ferrero (respecting Ferrero quality capitulate, safety standard, environmental ISO 14001, HACCP and internal logistic audit).

-         Ensure compliance with internal Ferrero procedures (Destruction, inventory, GRC ...). Ensure internal follow up for inventory management and stock counting, Destruction and donation organization, operation follow up, statistical control and monthly KPI.

-         Perform actively the yearly calendar for safety and quality audits, as per Ferrero standards. Verify and deploy the Group and Local Ferrero procedures and perform yearly assessment to establish the level of complain and the corrective action required.

Profile and required competencies:


  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or related field

  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar supply chain role, preferably within FMCG


  • French and English

Technical competencies

  • Principles and methodologies related to the Warehouse structure and the warehouse management

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills

  • Full knowledge of the Microsoft office pack, especially Excel and Powerpoint/VBA

  • Knowledge and understanding of the basic SCI-principles and methodologies

  • Knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP WMS system

  • Project management skills

  • Working by KPI input
