ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

  • Supervising maintenance, supporting interventions, collaborating in the implementation of new projects.
     
  • Defining, organising and managing the implementation of periodic revision programmes, ordinary, extraordinary and soft interventions, optimising the relative costs in order to achieve the determined production results, both in qualitative and quantitative terms, respecting the set deadlines. 
     
  • Coordinate and organise maintenance activities to ensure the functionality of the installations (devices) and the highest level of reliability and efficiency of the production lines.
     
  • Manage the plant utilities to ensure energy supply (hot and cold water / steam). Ensure the air conditioning of the production sites and offices. Ensure maintenance activities in relation to any buildings.
     
  • To be a support for the maintenance budget as well as to give to the PMU maintenance referent and the maintenance referent specialist all the indications related to the resources needs (staff, spare parts, external service companies)
     
  • Evaluation of the maintenance policy and cooperation with the technical maintenance manager in the evaluation of the maintenance definition and in the collection and analysis of data necessary for the evaluation of potential changes in maintenance policies.
     
  • Programming of interventions: Developing a short-term plan by giving indications on the availability of resources (personnel, spare parts, external companies) and advising on postponing or accelerating certain interventions. Collect and analyse intervention needs such as anomaly signals to give indications on intervention needs. Predictive maintenance: collects all the weak signals detected on the production units in order to analyse them with the PMU maintenance referent, and to agree on the time and method of the intervention
     
  • Execution of interventions: evaluates the intervention requests on call and assigns priority. Application of self-maintenance: assesses the chances of transferring the easy maintenance practices/actions to the production staff and checks the results. SAL analysis: Analyses the SAL status for the activities in his/her area of responsibility against the activity plans/schedules and detects corrective actions in case of missing targets.
    Safety: ensures the correct application of safety standards and safe behaviour during the execution of maintenance interventions.
    Management of relations with external companies.
    Functional controls: Evaluates the correct application and development of all functional controls that may be required to "return to service" a machine after an on-call intervention.
     
  • Communication management: Updating and archiving: Assists in updating and archiving machine books, operating manuals and other documents. Ensures compliance with regulations and procedures relating to certification systems (ISO systems)
     
  • Supplier Management: Request for Quotation and Analysis: defines technical specifications for requests for quotation and evaluates them. Evaluation of technical suppliers
     
  • Material, machine and instrument management: Equipment coding and management of equipment and spare parts supply:
     
  • Personnel management: Personnel selection and evaluation: Participates in the personnel selection and evaluation process, contributing to the definition of specific growth paths. Definition of the allocation of resources per position based on the needs derived from the production plans and the activities in progress. Management of holidays, training, absences, illnesses.
  • Continuous improvement: Technical accounting: performs the final accounting of technical key performance indicators and analyses their improvements: detects areas for improvement both at the level of the maintenance system as a whole and at the level of equipment/machinery. Evaluation of initiatives: Evaluate proposals for continuous improvement at technical and economic level, ensure the development of those identified as valid and monitor the results once they have been implemented.
  • New projects: Definition of new investments: cooperates with the PMU maintenance referent in the collection and analysis of requests for changes, upgrades and/or substitution of equipment.
     
  • Design and implementation: cooperates with suppliers and other entities involved in the design and implementation phases of new projects.
     
  • Changes: cooperates with the PMU Maintenance Manager in the correct reporting of all relevant changes made to machines throughout their life cycle.
     
     
    PROFILE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Degree in maintenance engineering or equivalent
     
  • Management experience in a technical department
     
  • Experience in personnel management
     
  • Full time position, 3 break times
