About the Role:
Responsible for the Accounting function in Taiwan to ensure correctness of financial statement, compliance with deadlines set by the various authorities as well as implementation and review of relevant controls.

Main Responsibilities:
MONTHLY CLOSING
• Monitor fixed asset register for Taiwan
• Check payment for Taiwan
• Check bank reconciliation for Taiwan
• Review monthly schedules for Taiwan
• Review payroll and bonuses accrual/ manual journal for Taiwan
• Review monthly schedules for Taiwan
• Review provision for damaged stock / good return
• Check and validate recordings of sales, inventory, and rebate entries
• Review bank reconciliation for Taiwan
• Review staff reimbursement entries for Taiwan
AUDIT
• External Audit: prepare audit schedules, review audit report & liaise with auditor on audit matters for Taiwan
• Internal audit: prepare schedules to internal auditors; implement internal control recommended by internal auditor
• Arrange year-end stock count with external auditor for Taiwan
TAXATION
• Review schedules to tax consultant for Taiwan
• Review tax computation and returns for Taiwan
• Liaise with tax consultant on tax matters for Taiwan
• Liaise with tax consultant on BEPS documentation for Taiwan
• Prepare the tax report requested by LUX for Taiwan
• Review year end income tax provision for Taiwan prepared by tax consultant
• Review VAT filing
CREDIT MANAGEMENT
• Determine seasonal credit limits for Taiwan
• Update credit limit in SAP for Taiwan
• Request credit insurance coverage via Euler Hermes website for customers of Taiwan
• Release credit hold in SAP for Taiwan
• Prepare monthly credit management report of Taiwan to local credit committee / LUX
• Ensure outstanding AR for Taiwan is followed up timely by SOM team
• Ensure AR settlement is updated timely and accurately in SAP by SOM team
• Update and review exception report for change of customer master and credit limit for Taiwan
• Ensure eGUI compliance
INSURANCE
• Manage property & liabilities insurance for Taiwan
• Coordinate with the insurance company on claims matters
TREASURY
• Ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operation
• Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment/transfer to IHC for Taiwan
• Maintain banking relationships
• E-banking administrator
CUSTOMER DEDUCTION (SUSPENSE ACCOUNT)
• Follow up the dispute claims with customers
• Validate DN issued by customers regarding trade deduction
• Prepare ageing analysis of suspense account for Taiwan
OTHERS
• Perform ad hoc assignment/project
• Maintain VAT matrix in SAP for Taiwan
• Create new customer code in SAP for Taiwan
• Assist in formulating & implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Manage fixed assets count and update SAP for Taiwan
Who we are looking for:
• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant work experience is required
• Audit experience is preferred
• Graduate in related discipline
• CPA
• SAP knowledge
• Good knowledge of Excel
• People management is a plus
• Fluent in written and spoken English & Mandarin
