About the Role:

Demand Planning which consists of forecasting in APO to understand demand drivers, Communication and interacting with Sales and Marketing. Responsible for measuring forecast accuracy and the distributions results to the business at brand level. This position also develops monthly operative plans by selling SKU and by brand and analyzes historical shipping trends to project and propose weekly shipping trends. 

This role is located at 100 Sheppard Avenue East, North York, ON M2N 6N5.

Main Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting 
o    Participate and contribute to the weekly consensus meeting to review demand  
o    Interact with Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning to understand demand forecast drivers
o    Challenge the forecasts from the sales teams and the usual runs (historical data, seasonality, market trends, special offers, budgets…) with relevant data analysis.
o    Provides perspective on Supply implications of the forecast changes 
o    Discuss upcoming promotion and launches and transitions plans (phase in/phase out including discontinued items
o    Following the meeting develop and agree on action plan of the critical issues linked to demand and supply
o    Populates and maintain Blue Planner (sales forecasting tool) at monthly level by SKU
o    Updates and maintain APO DP at weekly level following consensus meeting based on latest changes, managing the processes that translates Monthly Operational plans into weekly demand forecast – Ensuring that forecast data is maintained for all codes and updated correctly in system- taking into consideration: start ship dates, Launches
o    With customer marketing develop a weekly shipping plan for launches
o    Updates and maintains packaging commitment based on latest forecast changes
o    Generates the statistical projection by SKU/customer utilizing statistical forecasting tool for the past 3 years.  Estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow and developing forecast model
o    Responsible for measuring consensus forecast accuracy and the distribution of results to the business weekly and monthly.
o    Analyze and track deviations from actual weekly sales vs weekly forecast, provides root cause and corrective action to the consensus team in order to generate and implement corrective plans to adjust demand plan to achieve the objective of the Sales forecast accuracy (SFA).

Monthly S&OP Meetings:
o    Participate and contribute to the Demand review meeting – 16 to 20 months horizon
o    Participate and contribute to the portfolio management review meeting

Budget Planning:
o    Create Monthly Operating target template for Marketing to update initial volume for next fiscal year.
o    Develop manual BOM to ensure business totals are correct
o    Validate/Update Monthly Operating Targets determined by management and broken down by Marketing initial plan 
o    Analyze past 3 years statistical data in collaboration with Senior Logistics Planning Manager in order to create weekly shipping trends.
o    Load initial forecasts in Blueplanner & APO
o    Generate start ship date calendar

Who we are looking for:

•    Bachelor's degree in business and/or related area of study with 3 years experience
•    Systems: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), SAP R3, APO, statistical Forecasting tool
•    Ability to set and achieve goals
•    Ability to Multi-Task/Good co-ordination skills
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Strong mathematical & statistical knowledge
•    Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
•    Ability to lead and influence others
•    Ability to problem solve and set priorities
•    Ability to work effectively with others
