About the Role:

In your new role, you will be responsible for supporting the Market in developing and implementing a sales strategy aligned with Brand strategy, in long term partnerships’ development with customers leveraging on an in depth knowledge of their strategies and their shoppers, in providing tools and means to activate Ferrero Category strategies in the point of sale and acting as a “process integrator’’ mainly between Local Marketing and Sales. Adapt the Ferrero Group Category strategies to fit with Local conditions (in terms of both categories and clients) in order to meet Company objectives with regard to volume and profitability by Category.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Monitors and analyzes trade, competitors and shopper market data related to the assigned Channel / Category, in order to identify business opportunities and develop new Trade Marketing plans
  • Develops innovative tactics to help retailers to meet their shoppers’ needs (Trade Category Management projects)
  • Develops effective medium- and long-term Local strategies in line with the Ferrero Group Marketing guidelines
  • Defines the Category Vision for Retailer, through Shopper & Insight based rationale
  • Defines the Channel Vision for responsible categories
  • Develops and implements cross Brand and cross Category integrated programs with retailers
  • Develops the My Perfect Store Channel and Customer Strategies and KPIs
  • Implements appropriate Category development actions in conjunction with the Trade at the point of sale


  • Executes Channel / Customer performance and potential analysis
  • Supports the definition of Sales strategies (assortment, trade investment, etc.) at Channel / Account level with the objective to maximize the business development and profitability
  • Translates Marketing Plans to specific Channel / Customer plans (session plans, promotion, etc.) in line with retailers needs
  • Supports Key Account Manager providing argumentation, in the development of joint business plans, monitoringperformances of implemented plans at channel / account / Category level


  • Provides to Sales the best tools and means required for the implementation of the Marketing Strategy inside the point of sale:
    • coordinating the development of sales promotion activities, and the implementation of Trade Marketing initiatives at store level
    • tracking store activities performances ensuring Company guidelines and timeline are met
    • providing to Sales Function effective information about products, promotional activities and display materials
    • integrating Marketing activities and Customers Management promotional projects
    • collecting the Sales Function requirements and ensures the implementation of Country initiatives and tailor-made activities for requiring Clients
    • ensuring the implementation of “on Point of Sales” activities, like promotions, placement, POP material, Point of Sales (POS) animation
    • developing field force supporting tools (e.g. catalogues)
    • ensuring in store trials implementation
    • coordinating information flows between Marketing and Sales


  • Proposes Monthly phasing of the Benelux Sales Budget, by SKU & Pre-Packs
  • Ensures all actions are in line with business objectives with focus on the overheads budget

Who we are looking for:

  • Master in Sales/Marketing or other Business Field 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a sales or trade marketing role 
  • Knowledge of FMCG dynamics & understanding of the BeLux food retail environment 
  • Category management expertise (promo, assortment analysis, planogram, etc.)
  • P&L management  
  • Analytical skills from category & customer performances to financial dimension
  • Familiar with data management (Nielsen, GFK, etc.)
  • Skilled communicator, at ease with social interactions  
  • Previous Experience leading a team 
  • Fluent in Dutch & English, French is a plus
