About the Role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Account Manager to join our Sales team and drive the commercial strategy for New South Wales and Western Australian customers within the independents, convenience and wholesale channel. 
 
Reporting to the National Business Manager, you will play a critical role in developing winning relationships with all key stakeholders. You will have direct customer responsibility for a mix of customers including Metcash, Romeo's, JB Metro, EG Group, MMB, UCB, NSG, The Distributors WA, Roscoes, P&C customers.
 

Main Responsibilities:

As the State Account Manager, you will be the first point of call for all customers based in New South Wales and Western Australia, and will need to have strong working relationships with the retailers under your remit. This will include developing Joint Business Plans with retailers while understanding Ferrero and Customer strategies with an understanding of the portfolio, category, brands, promotional strategy, NPD launches and in store activations. This will focus on sustainable, long term plans with retailers, using Ferrero's triple win approach to grow the channel and develop clients. Working with the retailers, you will achieve the agreed targets for Net Sales Revenue, market share, and maximise trade investments through identification of opportunities for business development and growth by implementing solutions for specific client issues.

Working cross-functionally, you will ensure successful range review outcomes, deliver optimal promotional programmes and activations, deliver best in class events execution plans, and develop field execution strategies. You will ensure targets are met for Ferrero My Perfect Store, Point of Purchase strategy, forecast accuracy, trade investment, claims management, and commercial performance to budget.  You will be involved in sales forecasts for the channel, and monitor performance against plans to drive customer agendas internally and externally. You will need to use, analyse and synthesize multiple data sources into actionable insights; creating demand and driving consumption throughout the channel. 

As a strong negotiator, you will drive mutually beneficial outcomes for new initiatives and business proposals, as well as plan and prepare negotiations for trading terms, investments and discounts. You will be responsible for achieving client sales volume and value budget within guidelines, propose spend allocations to maximise profit, and use promotional modelling tools to ensure robust financials are considered. 

Who we are looking for:

This role would be suitable for a candidate who is currently operating in a similar role and is ready for their next challenge. You will have strong FMCG knowledge, with a strong understanding of the industry and our customer needs, ideally with exposure to Independents, Convenience or a similar channel. You will have a strong commercial mindset, paired with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You will be a goal driven self starter, with a drive to deliver extraordinary results every time.
