About the Role:
In our Ferrero Headquarters (Luxembourg), we are looking for an OPEN INNOVATION BIOTECH and AGRITECH SCIENCE MANAGER who will join the Open Innovation Science Strategic R&D Department.
Under the supervision of the Stream Leader, you will contribute to develop the identified innovation projects and explore potential opportunities that can comply with the detected needs, evaluating their opportunity plans and checking their applicability.
Furthermore, you will be exposed to an internal integrated system made of Laboratories for applications, Food Law, Raw Materials and you will develop and maintain contacts and relations with external scientific partners like Universities, Startups, Research Centers pursuing scientific innovation potentially applicable to the Ferrero system.
You will support the referent Stream Leader to define the strategic roadmap, the allocation of key initiatives (based on local opportunities) and the detailed action plan for the identified key initiatives.
Therefore, you will be a strategic partner in exploring potential opportunities, new suppliers and technologies as well as evaluating the preliminary solution on product/packaging, leveraging on existing capabilities in Ferrero and in alignment with the long term strategy of the Group. You will also be the focal point for external partners during project implementation.
Your tasks will include the preparation (with the Stream Leader) of the project plan and the check of its applicability (along with legal and regulatory constraints), supporting relevant stakeholders to evaluate full solutions with impact on product and production.
Furthermore, you will take part in Strategic R&D governance mechanisms to discuss the update of key initiatives and projects and support the approval process providing all necessary documentation/information.
Who we are looking for:
- MS or PhD degree in Life Sciences, Food Engineering, Nutrition, Biology, Biochemistry or equivalent
- 4-7 years of experience in innovation project activities. Start-up and Product Management experience preferred
- Strategy working or academic background
- Scientific competence in area of expertise, comfortable in exploring areas outside core area of expertise
- Strong business acumen
- Self-driven and capable of dealing with unstructured and emerging-startup environments
- Complexity management
- Project Management
- Stakeholder management skills.
Strong skills with MS Office (especially Powerpoint and Excel)
English professional proficiency required, any other language is a plus.
