About the Role:


For our Ferrero Headquarters in Luxembourg we are looking for an IT Group IT Technology Project Manager.

As Group IT Technology Project Manager, you will manage infrastructure projects and programs with a focus on transversal technological projects or programs. Infrastructure englobes Enterprise Computing (Data Centers), networks (WAN, LAN, WLAN, etc.), End User Computing and Security related solutions as well as any associated software that manages the technical architecture layer.

Being part of the IT Enterprise Architecture Team (EA), in collaboration with the Center of Excellence (CoE) in Technology Engineering, Service Management & Operations, you will be responsible for the design and evolution of the information technology infrastructure landscape of the organization.  Moreover, you will collaborate closely with transversal IT Project Managers and CoEs in the multiple IT Platforms Ferrero is organized. This entails developing and implementing IT strategies to meet the business needs of the company. You will support EA in developing and analyzing solutions to meet the EA guiding principles and you will contribute to the overall EA framework in providing updated or new standards.

You will collaborate as well closely with transversal IT Project Managers and CoEs in the multiple IT Platforms Ferrero is organized. This entails developing and implementing IT strategies to meet the business needs of the company; as well as support EA in developing and analyzing solutions to meet the EA guiding principles while contributing to the overall EA framework in providing updated or new standards.

Main Responsibilities:

The Group IT Technology Project Manager performs various functions. He ensures projects and programs concerning our worldwide organization, been delivered in time and budget. Having a profound understanding of the desired IT target architecture, it is also part of the duty to keep these projects and programs aligned with the overall IT strategy and culture to achieve architectural consistency.

In carrying out this work, as the Group IT Technology Project Manager you will introduce new or revised technologies, equipment, applications or systems into company work processes to optimize operations through technological advances. In addition, you will work on integration projects in the context of IT service harmonization and M&A. You will utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.

Usually, the Group IT Technology Project Manager oversees the integration of different parts of a transversal IT infrastructure project. This is achieved by collaborating with CoEs in Technology Engineering, Service Management & Operations, and in IT Platform.

In project planning, you will have to develop it according to project scope, objectives, and approach, defining activities, timing, responsibilities for the different streams highlighting milestones and deliverables. You will regularly discuss project plans and updates with the project sponsor.

Moreover, you will have to maintain complete knowledge of the technology and technical processes while in addition you will have to allocate funds ensuring availability of materials necessary to achieve project objectives.

It is the duty of the Group IT Technology Project Manager to supervise and coordinate project staff during a project. As part of the responsibility, a Group IT Technological Project Manager involved in IT projects usually oversees the budgeting for projects.

In the context of external supplier selection, you will manage RfPs in strong collaboration with IT procurement and CoEs. 

You will monitor the progress of an IT project to ensure timely and effective completion. Its work description also entails regular reporting to IT Management and to the Project Steering Committee to document progress and demonstrate the alignment of the project with the overall IT strategy and culture.

The use of project management software and tools to plan and organize a project is key as well.

Facilitate the required change management to move from project to process. In this context you will provide and/or organize documentation and handover to the RUN Organization in the Area Delivery Center and when needed in collaboration with Internal Communication manage project communication to users of a new or changed system or application.

In fulfilling this role, Group IT Technological Project Managers strongly collaborates with Cybersecurity.    You will conduct audits of implemented technology to ascertain level of performance and compliance with company standards. In the context of technological evolution, you will also support the improvement of related internal standards. In collaboration with IT Asset Management, you will ensure compliance for hard- and software (license) assets used.  

Conducting forecasts to identify the technological requirements of an organization will also be part of your duties.

Who we are looking for:

Profile:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Business Management, or in other related fields;
  • 3-5 in IT Project Management or other IT Technological Management roles;
  • Previous Work experience within a multicultural environment of complex cross-functional organizations;
  • International mindset;
  • Certification courses in business analysis, PMP, or PRINCE II will be considered an asset;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Stakeholder management and negotiation skills;
  • Problem-solving skills; 
  • Ability to provide IT solutions to address business needs;
  • Proficient in operating technological equipment, tools, and systems;
  • Performance driven;
  • Learning orientation;
  • Availability to travel up to 20-25% of the time;
  • Ethical and strong personal values.


IT Skills and Other:

  • Broad knowledge about Information Technology (e.g. Enterprise Computing, Network, End User Computing, Cloud Services); 
  • Good knowledge of Project Management Information System (PMIS) tools (e.g. Microsoft).

Language Skills:

  • Fluent proficiency in written and spoken English;
  • Any other European language will be considered an asset.
