About the Role:

We are looking for a Data Scientist to support the Advanced Analytics Leader in driving strategic decisions for the business.
In this role, you will have Global responsibilities and you will be based in our Group Headquarters in Luxembourg
You will be part of the Advanced Analytics team within the Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) function. This team is responsible to solve varied business questions by using sophisticated advanced analytics techniques.
As a Data Scientist, you will analyze many different types of data including Sales, Marketing and Media, promotions, macroeconomics etc. and build statistical models to solve particular business questions from various stakeholders across categories and geographies. Moreover, you will work closely with IT and other roles within the BI&A function. Depending on project needs, you might also potentially work with external agencies and data providers.

Main Responsibilities:

In this position, you will develop, test and rollout statistical models to support analytics and business reporting functions. 
You will create procedures to clean and classify data from disparate sources like retail sell-out, shopper behavior, consumer surveys, marketing and other 3rd party sources for use in modeling and reporting. 
To gain efficiencies for the ongoing work, you will script automation procedures for analytical flows. You will also be working in PowerBI to visualize analytical results for business stakeholders. You will create dashboard templates and help BI colleagues to create and customize their own. 
Your working environment will be a team of data scientists, with whom you will have the opportunity to collaborate, share ideas and knowledge and build new capabilities.

Who we are looking for:

You will bring your degree in quantitative area like Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, Engineering etc., and your solid background (3 to 5 years) in applied work on Advanced Analytics, preferably at a FMCG / Consumer Product Goods manufacturer company. 

Your experience in modeling techniques and advanced statistical concepts (Regression, Classification, Text mining, Random Forest etc.), together with your strong analytical creativity and desire to test & learn will be a great asset for us. 
You will contribute to the common goals with your excellent knowledge and best practices understanding of programming languages like Python, R and SQL, as well as common platforms such as PowerBI, Azure, Spark, Scala, Google Analytics etc.
Thanks to your strong communication skills and your capability to interpret the analytical outputs from business standpoint, you will have an effective conversation with business stakeholders. 

Your experience using external third-party sources such as Nielsen, IRI and consumer surveys would be extremely useful. 
Your strong understanding of media data including traditional and digital and associated metrics as well as practical experience of media measurement techniques will be fundamental.
