Are you interested in bringing enjoyment to the life of our consumers through our high quality, premium treats? We have a new opportunity for a Brand Manager to join the fast-paced Thorntons brand team.
In this role, you will have to achieve defined targets related to the P&L market share and competitive positioning for Thorntons Seasonal, lead an exciting new category expansion project and support the wider Licensing business, working with senior stakeholders and 3rd parties. Within the Thorntons strategy, you will support the Marketing Manager and Senior Brand Manager in the definition of positioning and detailed strategies, developing and implementing ideas, projects and other required actions by monitoring and managing costs to keep them within budget boundaries.
As BM on Thorntons you will provide support to the Senior Brand Manager and to other involved local functions for defining the process of brand targets, sales mix, net sales, gross margin, and marketing contribution, to define volumes and sales value budget (with required details in term of SKUs and packaging).
Define actual and future positioning in comparison with competitors’ actions. Verify former price lists and evaluates the right product mix that would allow budgeted objectives achievement, proposing, then, to Senior Brand Manager Thorntons the right price list for approval and which SKUs are strategic.
You will also share new product development (NPD) strategy for approval, leading related projects. Also sharing the seasonal strategy and portfolio recommendations to the Senior Brand Manager
Support the Food Service Manager and 3rd party licensors with development of portfolio and packaging, while collaborating with the Food Service Manager to share performance updates with the Senior Brand Manager.
You will provide inputs to communication, advertising and media planning including identification of target audiences and participation in definition of media mix (including sponsoring) to maximise impact of advertising campaigns and protect the Company brand and reputation, while ensuring clearing of legal requirements related to commercials.
As BM you will be proactively participating in the proposal, implementation (e.g., brief) and follow up of strategic projects, e.g., studies which deal with strategic issues such as exploratory subjects, uses & habits, insights, and brand positioning. While participating in operational improvement projects follow-up e.g., studies which deal with operational issues such as pre and post-test, performance of new packaging, market data monitoring, assortment, and pricing etc.
Who we are looking for:
A brilliant Brand Manager with understanding of the UK market!
You will have strong brand management experience in the FMCG industry with proven experience in developing strategies, aligning key stakeholders, driving the brand agenda, project management and delivering successful brand activations.
You will have a natural curiosity and be consumer focus, with a keen eye for emerging trends. Proven experience of building effective relationships, leading and managing change and collaboration across departments to achieve financial targets and joint goals.
