About the Role:

For our HQs in Luxembourg, we are looking for the Responsible Sourcing Category Manager for our team part of the Procurement & HCo Function. This role has the objective to manage end-to-end responsible sourcing topics of the assigned sourcing category.

Main Responsibilities:

Support the deployment of the Commodity Charter

  • In coordination with the Procurement departments (and Agri Department depending on the category) support the coordination  and deployment of the hazelnut carter principles across the 3 pillars (Human rights and social practices, Environmental protection, Transparency)

Suppliers responsible sourcing risk management

  • Manage suppliers’ sustainability/ responsible sourcing counterparts (when available): relationship, flow of requests, monitoring and verifying suppliers status and delivery on Group’s requests
  • Ensure Group “Supplier Risk Management Blueprint (Due Diligence)” is acknowledged/ implemented/ respected in own sourcing category in strict collaboration (shared responsibility) with the category buyer and according to Group guidelines
  • Coordinate/ support the “follow-up actions” team around the delivery of own sourcing category and escalate where deemed necessary to enforce supply chain transformation

Sourcing Category Traceability support

  • Support the RESSO Traceability manager in defining the traceability methodology for own sourcing category
  • Support and facilitate traceability data collection
  • Monitor traceability status and progress against agreed targets and escalate when required

Certification and standards implementation

  • Lead certification and standards implementation according to Group CSR guidelines
  • Where necessary, propose and design premium based incentive system
  • Monitor status and identify gaps vs. public commitments 
  • Prepare plan and lead activities to deliver against public commitments 

Joint category sourcing plan (where due diligence is already implemented)

  • Develop responsible sourcing risk and opportunities per assigned sourcing category and by supplying tier (where available)
  • Share risk and opportunities map with related category buyers to contribute to overall sourcing strategy
  • Maintain sourcing risk and ops map yearly to factor in suppliers churn and new agreements and to factor in new collected data and information

Communication positions/ statements preparation support

  • Collect updated material and data to support Corp. Comms preparation of public statements
  • Review public statements when requested by Corp. Comms
  • Participate to public events according to Corp. Comms strategy

Sustainability associations/NGOs management (commodity/ project related)

  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders at sourcing category level (e.g. RSPO, WCF, RA, ILO, …)
  • Participate to official events representing the Group
  • Collect insights and info on industry direction and best practices leveraging direct relationship with associations/ NGOs

On the ground projects design and implementation

  • Manage all “on the ground” projects around assigned sourcing categories (i.e. project design, budgets, governance, timeline and deliverables)
  • Select/ lead/ coordinate and monitor local services/ teams on the ground

Who we are looking for:

  • Relevant experience in Responsible Sourcing / Sustainability
  • Previous experience in Cocoa, Fats or Milk Responsible Sourcing is a must
  • Previous experience in Corporate or Consultancy firm will be considered a plus 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to excellence with a result-oriented approach;
  • Master’s degree in economics, Engineering or similar
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English;
  • Any other foreign language will be considered an asset.
