About the Role:

The Bloomington Ferrero facility is in the process of building a new Chocolate Plant which will supply chocolate to Ferrero production sites in North America.  The Quality Product Specialist will support in the coordinating of activities surrounding Quality & Food Safety Systems in the new Chocolate Plant. The Quality Product Specialist is a key functional supporting position in Ferrero Quality Organization, reporting directly to the Quality Specialist Supervisor. 

Main Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for inspecting, testing, grading, sorting, sampling, weighing and/or sensory testing and assays on products, materials, components, etc. at various stages of the production process.  Also manages finished product release criteria (i.e. net contents, sensory program, Critical Control Point [CCP]).  Responsibilities will include internal auditing, recording statistical data and analyzing production data to verify compliance or determine deviation from existing standards.  The Quality Product Specialist will follow production activities to ensure compliance of the quality standards of products, GMP and Food Safety.  Additionally, this position will enforce and promote all company guidelines, policies and good manufacturing practices.

Who we are looking for:

Education and Work Experience: Associate's degree and 1-3 years of relevant work experieince

Must have knowledge in the following areas:

  1. Production and Processing -- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods;
  2. Quality Control Analysis -- Conducting tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance;
  3. Operation Monitoring -- understanding gauges, dials, or other indicators to understand quality problems on machines;
  4. Mathematics -- Using mathematics to work with numbers and analyze results;
  5. Reading Comprehension -- Understanding industry related documents.
