About the Role:

For our Ferrero Headquarters in Luxembourg we are looking for a Global Portfolio Manager, a critical role for delivering Ferrero’s ambitious portfolio optimization objectives.

In your role you will be defining & coordinating the development, execution & maintenance of product portfolio guidelines by channel and by category, leveraging on category development guidelines with a global outlook – primarily focused on the trade unit dimension.

Within the global Sales Business Development executional excellence team you will strongly collaborate with Global Brand teams, Global Category Management, Global Packaging, Area Marketing, & Local Trade Marketing as well as Global Operations, Quality & Finance in order to effectively perform this critical change management role.

Main tasks: 

As a Global Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible of the Global Trade Unit Portfolio Governance and will ensure the maintenance and elaboration of Trade Unit Portfolio success criteria by category/channel. You will identify governance improvement opportunities and will be performing longtail complexity analysis and synergy tracking

You will define, monitor and maintain the Trade Unit Group portfolio, ensuring a lean, yet effective range to maximize brand channel distribution. You will work closely with the Global Category management team to guarantee global catalogue coherence with trade channel strategies, isolate channel white spots & identify break through solutions.

Additionally, you will be in charge of the Global digital catalogue development and maintenance with regards to the Channel Trade Unit portfolio.

Hand in hand with the Global Marketing and the Global Category Management teams, you will be co-driving the development of a robust category / channel portfolio and innovation pipeline to ensure best fit channel portfolio for Group NPDs.

In collaboration with the Global packaging team & other key Group stakeholders, you will ensure the elaboration of the Global Trade Unit Channel Packaging requirements as well as its maintenance. 

As a key Group referent and subject matter expert, you will also develop, deploy and promote portfolio optimization know-how (methodology & tools) towards the local business community. You will always be looking for continuous improvement, identifying future opportunities, analysing relevant competitors' activity and sharing best practices.

Who we are looking for:


  • 8+ years of experience; 
  • Relevant academic background (Bachelors, Masters, MBA or related);
  • Previous experience in Brand Marketing, Category Management, Shopper Marketing, Innovation, Portfolio Management, Sales Operations or Key Account Management
  • Previous experience in FMCG, CPG or related;
  • Experience in Sweet Packaged Food is a plus;
  • Strategic global mindset;
  • Stronf influencing & Stakeholder Management skills;
  • Result orientation;
  • Strong ownership and ability to create a concept and follow up until the implementation;
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization.


  • MS Office, especially Power Point and Advanced Excel.


  • English proficiency is a must;
  • Any additional language is a plus.
