About the Role:

This is a 1 year maternity leave contract. This position is responsible for gaining a deep understanding of the target consumer, the category and the competition, leveraging this understanding to develop consumer and brand insights, as well as the marketing programs that respond to these insights.  Incumbent will develop recommendations and plans to profitably manage the Brand within Ferrero Canada, in agreement with global objectives proposed by Headquarter Category Management.  Incumbent will also manage and develop brand profitability, sales, market penetration and awareness, and recommend trade programs.  This position will also have 1 direct report.

This position is located at 100 Sheppard Avenue East, North York, ON, M2N 6N5.

Main Responsibilities:

Brand Planning
•    Define and develop objectives, goals, strategies, and measurements for the brand in order to meet/exceed volume, and profit targets

Range Expansion
•    Help define and develop expanded Biscuits & Snacks range to deliver portfolio profitable growth needs

•    Allocate and manage marketing spending; develop cost cards in order to manage profitability and optimize investment

Promotions / Merchandising
•    Advance the development of an integrated marketing campaign working with the Integrated Agency Team (IAT). Ensure integration of campaign ideas with shopper marketing team.

Communication / Public Relations
•    Initiate and develop a consumer and trade communication and public relations plan in order to deepen acceptance of the brand’s core proposition

•    Propose research to support the development, launch and tracking of key initiatives identified during brand planning.

Sales Forecast / S&OP
•    Contribute to sales forecasting in order to meet consumer demand while managing freshness, a key priority for the company. 

People Management
•    Assure the professional growth and development of direct report. Coach and support regularly, with formal feedback sessions twice a year.

Product Supply
•    Aid in the management of plant relationships, package design, raw material sourcing, government regulations, co-packing, etc. as required to facilitate full brand ownership

Internal Reporting
•    Referring to cross function (internal) on brand performance

Who we are looking for:

•    BA or master’s in business and/or Marketing and 4 to 7 years of experience, preferably within the CPG/FMCG industry
•    Experience with Brand management (strategic brand planning, data analysis, financial analysis and management, communication and media strategy)
•    Advertising
•    Understanding of the Canadian consumer and trade; domestic market
•    Highly proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point
•    Highly motivated achiever who is results oriented
