About the Role:

Ferrero South Africa currently has a vacancy for the Millwright based at the Walkerville Factory and reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor 

Main Responsibilities:

• Apply fault-finding techniques, conduct root cause failure analysis and regular plant inspections
• Maintenance, optimization, installation of pneumatics/hydraulics related to machines
• Optimize and update planned & preventative maintenance schedules /shutdowns
• Install and commission new machinery and equipment
• Execute training for process machine operators on best practices
• Ensure adherence to health and safety, environment, quality, and housekeeping
• Maintain and repair mechanical parts, components, and equipment as well as low- and high-level electrical equipment
• Comply with OHSA standards, ensure that electrical installations comply with statutory regulations, conform to safety standard and maintenance system requirements
• Complete breakdown work order, create notification, provide feedback, and generate orders on the relevant maintenance system
• Perform work in a safe and reliable manner ensuring the highest level of workmanship
• Conduct regular plant inspection and report non-conformance and problems
• Monitor the operational conditions of machinery and equipment
• Perform lockout procedure on machines and /or equipment to prepare for maintenance
• Carry out routine maintenance on a production machines to ensure its operational.
• Maintain, select, and establish measurements with complex measuring equipment as well as tolerancing.
• Required to work shifts as per operational requirements in no particular order

Who we are looking for:

Minimum N3 electrical and Mechanical, however N6 will be advantageous

Trade tested Millwright (Red Seal) from a recognized establishment, preferably stronger in the electrical discipline

• Knowledge of boilers and compressors
• Knowledge of Pvc molding machines
• PLC and Drive experience ( Allen- Bradley)
• Pneumatic experience
• Ability to read machinery schematic drawings
• Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure
• Analytical skills
• Computer literate (excel, word, PowerPoint, outlook)
• Be flexible with working hours as and when required
